FAQ
"I don't have a swatch"
No worries. I realize a swatch of fabric or leather isn't always available. Here are some other options:
A spool of thread
Embroidery floss
Paint chip from hardware store, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.
Picture
Or whatever else you can find in the color matching your outfit.
Many customers choose to send their pants.
Please keep in mind that whatever you send is what I will be matching your boots to so try to keep it as close to the exact color as possible for the best color match.
"My boots are used."
Used boots are a great economical option. Please make sure they are clean before you send them.
"Can you dye previously dyed boots?"
Yes! Another great way to save money. There is a $10.00 prep charge.
However, if boots have been dyed improperly (chipping, splitting has occurred) they have probably been dyed or painted with the wrong product and these are quite a challenge as they require some extra TLC to prep. In this case there is a $25.00 prep charge.
This is a perfect example of
improperly dyed boots and
are the featured picture at
the top of the page.
Not only were they
improperly dyed, they are
the wrong color.
Don't let this happen to
you.
"Do you sell boots?"
I do not sell boots therefore I have no prejudice or preference in the style of boot you choose or the price you pay. My only interest is to give you the perfect match to your outfit.

"Do boots have to be white?
Any color of boot can be dyed. The only requirement is that they are leather.
"Can I have my new boots shipped directly to you?"
Absolutely! Boots can be directly shipped to me from whatever supplier you choose. This will save you the extra shipping costs.
"What if I scuff my boots?"
It happens to the best of us. Your boots will be returned with a 1 oz. jar of touch up in case you get a scuff or just want to to freshen up wear spots.
"I want to dye my own boots."
Good for you! I love a Do-It-Yourselfer!
I offer a do-it-yourself option. I will mix up the matching color from your swatch using the proper product specific to the application to leather and send complete instructions on how to do your own boots are included.
You will receive a 2 oz. jar of the exact same product that I would use if I were dyeing your boots. This is plenty of product to dye your boots with plenty left over to touch up scuffs & scrapes should they occur.
$29.00 for dye & instructions. Shipping $4.00
"Why can't I just buy paint myself?"
You can but, mixing colors to match is not an easy task. Most people know that blue and yellow make green but where do you go from there?
Just because it says, "Light Blue" on the bottle doesn't mean it will be anything close to the color you actually need.
Not every kind of paint will work. You could end up with a nightmare like the boots pictured above.
No one taught me and I'm sure I can't teach it to anyone else. This is a skill I'm blessed to have.
I stock over 90 colors and have the world of color, all shades, to mix & match at my fingertips.
"If it's paint why do you call it dye?"
Good question. The answer is, I don't know. Just a habit, I guess.
The product I use is a paint specific to the application of leather. It applies beautifully, adheres securely and remains flexible after drying. The variety of colors are endless.
Dyes penetrate the surface of leather and are permanent but are very limited in color selection.
"How long do I have to wait for my boots?"
Please allow 2 -3 weeks for your order excluding shipping time.
Most orders are completed much sooner but sometimes orders come in all at once and I work on a first come, first serve basis.
Also, I prefer to let boots cure a couple days before I ship them out.
